Kim Zolciak Suggests That Kroy Biermann Is Drug Tested Amidst Custody Battle
Kim Zolciak came out swinging in the custody battle of her and Biermann's children, calling for him to undergo drug testing. In documents obtained by E! News, Kim alleges she has seen Kroy "smoking marijuana, and she has serious concerns for the safety and well-being" of their kids Kroy Biermann Jr., 11, Kash Biermann, 10, and 9-year-old twins Kaia Biermann and Kane Biermann.
The Don't Be Tardy star, 44, is requesting a five-panel hair follicle drug screen so that the court can determine custody arrangements for the children, the document states. She also asks that Kroy, 37, not cut his hair before the screening. He has yet to respond to her request.
The former NFL star, for his part, requested “the temporary and permanent sole legal and sole physical custody” of his and Zolciak-Biermann’s four children in his May 8 divorce filing. Though he and the reality star are both still living under the same roof in their Alpharetta, Georgia home — they’re “avoiding each other” the best they can, an insider exclusively told Us on Thursday, May 11.
While Zolciak may be ready to part ways with ex Biermann, it appears that one thing she will not part ways with is the wedding ring he gave her. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared a video of herself on Instagram drinking from a Solo cup Monday — what was more noticeable than anything else was the large diamond band on her ring finger.
Kroy Biermann Alleges That Kim Zolciak Has A Gambling Problem
In addition to releasing bank statements that allegedly show Zolciak's gambling habits, Kroy Biermann wants his soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Zolciak to be psychologically evaluated, according to court documents obtained by People. "During the parties' marriage, Respondent [Zolciak-Biermann] presented very troubling behavior which has accelerated in the months leading up to Petitioner's filing for divorce," the documents claim. Biermann alleges that Zolciak-Biermann "acknowledged spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance."
The alleged gambling issue has supposedly "financially devastated the parties," the documents claim, also indicating concerns for the well-being of the couple's four minor children — 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, 10-year-old son Kash Kade and big brother Kroy Jagger, 11.
"Respondent's time is so consumed with online gambling that she is unable to properly care for the children. As such, Petitioner is concerned for the children's safety and well-being," allege the documents, which indicate both parents "are presently in the care, custody, and control of the parties."
Biermann's legal team asserts the evaluation is in the best interest of all parties in order "to ascertain any underlying mental issues such as depression, anxiety, narcissistic personality disorder, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or others that are manifested through Respondent's compulsive gambling and other behaviors indicative of additional addiction issues."
Representatives for Kim Zolciak asserted that, while it's true that she's been gambling, the story is not all that it seems. A source close to Zolciak-Biermann tells People of the allegations, "She's been gambling, that's true, but she has been winning. He is just trying to make it look like she has been losing money."
Did Andy Cohen Warn Kim Zolciak About Her Spending Habits?
When the news of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann splitting up broke, host Andy Cohen shared that he reached out to the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum following the news. The Bravo Executive brought the topic of their split up on his radio show, SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, saying he was "surprised." "I sent my condolences because it's a sad thing. They have kids, and that was just a couple that seemed very much in love," he said.
